| Veroplay | Most other apps | |
|---|---|---|
| Value | The European Cardmarket price, in euros, for exactly your version. An English card gets the price of the English edition, a Japanese card that of the Japanese. | Dollars from American sales, or one price for all languages. |
| Market value | A steady, fair value from three Cardmarket numbers, with checks for outliers. If the app doubts a price, you see it right away and fix it in a few taps. How it works. | One number that jumps with every single sale. |
| English and Japanese | English and Japanese cards mixed, each with its own price. Including cards missing from other databases. | Often English only, or Japanese without a price. |
| French, German and more | Set the language per card: French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese. You see the offers in your language, and AI estimates the value for that language. | Every card counts as English. |
| Price history | The price of every card saved every day. With Solo or Family, charts as far back as you want. | Often only 30 or at most 180 days. |
| Solo or together | Collecting alone? Then it's simply your binder. With the family, everyone gets their own binder and colour, with one total together. Children don't need an email address. | One account per person, each in their own app. |
| Trading | Propose a trade yourself, or let the app find who has what double and who's missing it. Also with friend collectors. Or check a trade for free first with the trade calculator. | You arrange trades yourself, via separate lists or chat. |
| Switching | Bring your list from Excel, Google Sheets or another app: paste it or choose a CSV, we look up the cards. | Typing everything in again. |
| Scanning | Up to 9 cards in one photo: a whole binder page, English and Japanese mixed. Counts as one scan. | Often one card at a time. |
| AI that helps | A quality scan of your card, a grade scan with advice, and an AI value for cards without a good market price. | Guess yourself or ask a forum. |
| Notifications | An alert on your phone for price alerts, wishes getting cheaper, selling opportunities and trade proposals. | Keep an eye on it yourself. |
| Live opening | A live counter while opening a box or booster: what you paid versus what came out. | None, or only a total of your spending. |
| Spending | Track boxes, boosters, single purchases and orders. Sealed boxes get their own Cardmarket value. | Only the value of your cards. |
| Support | Report a problem or request whenever you want, 24/7, in the app or by email. Almost always picked up within 24 hours, by the makers themselves. | A form, and then wait and see. |
| Installing | No app store needed. Open Veroplay in your browser and add it to your home screen, on phone, tablet and computer. | Download from the app store, separately per device. |
| Free | Your entire collection free, unlimited: value per card and in total, condition, wishlist and trading with friends. You only pay for the extras. | Often a limit on the number of cards, or basic features behind a subscription. |
Photograph a page from your binder and Veroplay recognises all 9 cards at once: English and Japanese mixed, with set and number. One tap and they're in. That's how you get a whole binder into the app in one evening.
With Free you scan 10 times a month, with Solo 100 and with Family 300. Searching by name or number, like meg021, is always unlimited.

Veroplay is just as good for solo collectors. Open the app and you immediately see what your collection is worth, what rose or fell today and which cards you're still looking for.
Start free, with your entire collection. Solo costs € 2.99 per month or € 24.99 per year; as a founder you pay € 16.99 for the first year.

On Cardmarket you see several numbers for every card: its average over the last 7 days, the last 30 days, and the trend. One single sale can make such a number jump. That's why Veroplay doesn't look at one number.
Other apps usually show one number, often in dollars. So your collection jumps up and down without anything really changing.
For the questions a price list can't answer. Each scan costs 1 credit.
Take a photo of the front and back. The AI zooms in on edges, corners, scratches and centering and gives the condition, from Near Mint to Played. Handy before you trade, sell or buy a card.
Is your card worth sending in for a grade? You see the chance of a 10, 9 or 8, roughly what the card would then be worth and what's left after costs.
No good market price, like for a misprint or rare variant? AI estimates the value (1 credit). Want AI to check it again every month? Turn that on per card; it costs 1 credit per month. If the card later gets a good market price, Veroplay switches over automatically. Prefer to enter a value yourself? Then it moves with the market for free.
Is your card centered well enough for a PSA 10? Take a photo, the app finds the card and the edge itself and measures left/right and top/bottom to a tenth of a percent.
Centering allows at most PSA 9
Top/bottom just above the 55/45 for a 10. Check the close-ups before you send it in.
Veroplay keeps an eye on the market for you and lets you know when something's up.
Look back at what happened: which card you added, what was traded, which box or booster was opened. Collecting with the family? Then you also see each other's best pulls.
Even if you collect alone, trading with friends is easy. And if you collect with the family, it's completely automatic.
Choose what you offer and what you want back, or let the app search: if your brother has a duplicate you're missing, you see it right away, with a fair trade suggested. Once accepted, the cards move automatically.
Link friends or cousins with their own Veroplay. You trade with each other without them joining your family or seeing your amounts.
Share a link with what you're still looking for, with the current price. Handy for friends, birthdays or grandparents. No more duplicate gifts, and you get an alert when a wish gets cheaper.
Set a box or booster to open and add what you pull. The counter runs live, so at the table you see right away whether you've broken even. Try it here.
Members track what they pull from their boxes and boosters. Veroplay adds it up anonymously. So before you buy, you see which box gives the best odds, based on real openings and not lucky stories.
Example. In the app you see members' real numbers per box, with the number of openings they're based on.
What do others collect, what's rising and what does everyone want? Veroplay shows it from all members' collections. Anonymous: never names, only totals.
Veroplay works in your browser. Put it on your laptop or phone and it opens like a real app, with a sidebar and everything side by side on the computer. No download, always the latest version.
Try it for free. Collecting alone? Choose Solo. With the whole family you pay one subscription per household.

The first 100 who choose Solo or Family before 1 December pay the founder price for the first year if they pay by 31 December. Choosing Free when you sign up? Then you can still lock in the price in the app until 30 November, while spots last. Only 100 spots left. After that the regular yearly price applies. Anyone can join for free, even when the spots are gone.
Almost everything in Veroplay is simply included. You only use credits for the smart extras where AI really looks along, because those cost money each time.
Choose Family and every adult, and every child from 16, gets their own login. Everyone chooses what the rest of the family may see.
Enter your email address and you're in the app right away. Unlimited cards, always free. Until 30 November you also test scanning and the AI features for free. After that you choose; nothing is charged automatically.
No password, no payment details and no newsletter. You can always have your account deleted.
You'll get a link or code by email. No password needed.
Right now. Sign up for free and you can log in right away. Testing is free until 30 November; the official launch is in December 2026.
Definitely. With Free you add your entire collection, unlimited, with the Cardmarket euro value, condition, wishlist and trading with friends. Free scans 10 times a month. Solo adds 100 scans per month, AI, the full price history, price alerts, the live box tracker and export. Family is for when you want to share it with your children or partner.
No. Veroplay is a web app: you open app.veroplay.nl and add it to your home screen. On iPhone via Share and then Add to Home Screen, on Android via the Chrome menu and Install app. After that it opens like a normal app. You don't need to download anything and you always have the latest version.
Without a password. You enter your email address and get an email with a link and a 6-digit code. Tap the link, or type the code into the app. The latter is handy on iPhone, where a link opens in Safari and not in the app on your home screen. You stay logged in as long as you use Veroplay; only after 30 days without use do you log in again.
Yes. Veroplay works in every modern browser, on your phone, tablet and computer. You see the same collection everywhere and can be logged in on several devices at once.
Yes. The scan recognises up to 9 cards in one photo, English and Japanese mixed, and that counts as one scan (Free 10 scans per month, Solo 100, Family 300). Works best like this: lay the binder flat, photograph straight from above with all cards in frame, don't use flash and tap the screen to focus, so the numbers at the bottom are readable. After about 15 seconds you see all cards. Check them and add them all at once. If one isn't right, choose from the suggestions. One photo counts as one scan.
All Pokémon cards in English and Japanese, from the first sets to the newest expansions, including promos. Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese cards are added as the English version, with your copy's language.
From Cardmarket, the largest marketplace for Pokémon cards in Europe. We look at the price in your card's language and use a market value over several days, so one strange sale doesn't make your total jump.
Yes. For every English card you set your copy's language: French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese. Cardmarket combines those languages in its averages, so Veroplay honestly says the price is less certain. With one tap you open the offers in your language, and AI can estimate the value for that language. You can also enter a value yourself.
With Solo and Family, without limit. Veroplay saves the price of every card every day and throws nothing away. Per card and for your whole collection you see a week, a month, a year or everything since we started tracking the card. With Free you see the last 7 days. With many other apps and sites it stops after 30 days, or at most 180.
For most cards, yes. For a few kinds the Cardmarket price is less certain: old cards (where mostly played copies are sold), graded cards, 1st Edition and stamped versions, misprints and cards that rarely sell. Veroplay then shows it on the card. You can let AI estimate the value or enter a value yourself; it then moves with the market.
A subscription is for one household: two adults and up to four children. You link friends as friend collectors. Then you can trade and see each other's trade cards, but everyone has their own account.
Yes. Children get their own profile under their parent's account. From age 16, a child can get their own login.
Then everything keeps working, except the AI extras. You can wait until next month, or with Solo or Family get 25 extra credits for € 2.99.
The demo belongs to everyone. You can change anything, and every night everything is reset. We don't keep what you enter there.
Yes. With Solo or Family you export your entire collection to Excel or PDF, whenever you want. Go back to Free and everything stays in the app. Want an export then anyway? Email us and you'll get it.
